The vegetation in Dragon Age is created by a third-party program called SpeedTreeCAD. It can be found in the Dragon Age\Toolset\export_processors\SpeedTreeCAD directory.
SpeedTree allows for an extremely broad set of parameters to be set for trees. Under most circumstances this flexibility should not be required, however, as Dragon Age comes with a large number of pre-generated trees.
