Need any inside assistance with ActionScript?

We weren't expecting to see much progress in the field of GUI editing by the community, I'm quite pleased that we appear to be mistaken. :) I've got in contact with one of our programmers who has done some GUI work and he's quite interested in helping you out with your documentation and modding efforts, what sorts of information would you find useful? I'm not too familiar with the system myself but I can play the messenger role well enough. :) BryanDerksen 17:29, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

Wow, that'd be terrific, thanks Bryan. Let me just formulate something and I'll definitely take you up on your offer. FollowTheGourd 01:52, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Okay. Bearing in mind that we're pretty much all going to be out on vacation next week, so I might not be able to get answers very quickly. I plan to spend some of my vacation doing wiki work here but I have no idea what everyone else's plans are and I don't know much about GUIs myself.
From the very general conversation I had, the suggestion seemed to be that you guys would have the most luck with modding the conversation GUI and the map GUI. Both of these GUIs are apparently pretty simple in terms of how they talk to the game, and both have hooks that lead directly into the game's scripting engine, so you might want to focus your initial exploration there. Thanks for the heads up; I'm in no particular rush. I'm just happy to see somebody else interested in it - at least still interested, that I know of - and BioWare to boot. If we can hook directly into the scripting engine from the GUI, that would be pretty useful. I'll take a closer look and see what I can dig up. The more information we can get out there, hopefully the more it will pick up. FollowTheGourd 01:26, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
